MOTHERS’ UNION
We had a wonderful meeting in May when the speaker was the Reverend Carolyn Skinner who spoke about her work as CEO of Third Space Ministries. They view the first space as the home, the second space as the workplace and the third space is anywhere where people meet socially. They visit sports and musical venues, nightclubs and even brothels – anywhere where people gather to socialise. They get talking to people and offer a listening ear to anyone who is in need of encouragement and prayerful support. Their willingness to go into some of the darkest places is having a tremendous effect on people’s lives and they are always humbled by the fact that so many people are carrying heavy loads of anxiety and have never before been able to share them with anyone. God is doing remarkable things through Carolyn and her team.
In July we shall be having a forward planning meeting when I shall be handing over leadership of our branch and we shall be working together to see how we can best move forward in faith. A date is yet to be arranged but members will be informed. Patsy Moore.
