THE VISION DAYS AFFIRMING LEADERSHIP

To all ministers of every type in the Diocese of Lincoln

Dear Sisters and brothers,

At the end of September we invited you to attend a Vision Day in your archdeaconry, and an abbreviated mop up in Lincoln. Attendance was excellent, and most people said they’d found the occasion, the hospitality, the worship and message very positive.

We have put a digital version of the event on the new Diocesan Web Site, with videos of the five talks, material for you to read or discuss in groups, and an act of worship linked to the day’s themes. It is quite interactive and we hope hope it captures some of the spirit of the live event. You can find it at: https://www.lincoln.anglican.org/parish-support/a-time-to-change-together/ttct-vision-days-affirming-leadership/

If you did attend, then please use this online resource to refresh your memory and reflect and pray about the challenges we were set of leading our churches into flourishing, especially collaboration, generosity and growth. You might want to get a group together in your LMP, or your benefice, your ministry team or your church, to listen, reflect, pray and move to action.

If you were unable to attend, this is your chance to catch up on what you missed. We hope and pray that every minister in our churches will hear and respond to the message of these vision days, especially the words of our three keynote speakers. TTCT is the way we are going and what we have covered here begins to flesh out the tasks ahead for the flourishing of our churches, and the new ways ministers might collaborate in undertaking them.

I’d welcome feedback from any of you, especially those coming fresh to the material.

Best wishes and blessings,

Richard Crossland
