Board Games & Social Afternoon – Every Monday – 2pm – 4pm St John’s Church, Baston are pleased to announce our new Board Games & Social afternoon every Monday afternoon.  There will be a friendly space where you can enjoy a drink and play games.  If you may want to chat, read a book or even spend an hour before you do the school pick-up, please do come along and join us. 

Monday 2nd February – 7.30pm – 9pm St. Firmin’s Monthly Prayer Meeting at 79 Northorpe, Thurlby.  Prayer requests to Patsy and Peter (01778 423505) – or come along and join us.

Still Point & Church Café Tuesday  3rd & 17th February – 2pm St John’s Church, Baston will be continuing with their Still Point and Church café in church. Meet at 2pm for a quiet time with a Bible reading, prayers and music, followed by our friendly church café at 2.30pm.  Donation of £1 for adults, children free. Subsequent meetings will be at the same times on first and third Tuesdays each month.

A Stitch in Time Every Saturday 2pm – 4pm and every Thursday 7pm – 9pm.The stitching group continues to meet in St John’s Church, Baston every Thursday and Saturday. Everyone is welcome from seasoned stitchers to those wanting to learn.

Langtoft Open Church 7th, 14th & 28th February – 10.30am-12.30pm St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be open again for tea, coffee, biscuits and toast.  Please do join us.

Sunday 8th February  – Refresh Cafe – 2pm –  4pm St Firmin’s Church, Thurlby will be holding their Refresh Café in the church – Share, recycle and care for creation! Share your unwanted new or nearly-new things at our generosity table.  Items not taken at the end of the afternoon must be taken away but can be brought back the following month or they will be recycled.

Lunches in Church Wednesday 18th & 25th February – 12 noon – 1.30pm St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their Lent Lunches in church, serving soup, hot puddings and tea or coffee    £6.50 per person , Primary age children £3 , Pre school children Free. Future dates are 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th March.

Thursday 5th & 19th  February – 12 noon to 1.30pm St John’s Church, Baston will be holding their Monthly Lunches. Soup & roll, pudding with custard, fruit, tea or coffee for just £6.50.  All most welcome to come.  Future dates for the lunches are 5th and 26th March.

Saturday 21st February – 10.30am – 1pm St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their monthly Cake and Bacon Butty morning in the church.    Come along and enjoy a lovely bacon butty, soup, cake.  All welcome to attend.

MOTHERS’ UNION Tuesday 17th February – 2pm The Mothers’ Union will be holding their monthly meeting in Almond Court, Northorpe when the speaker to be  advised.  For more information about the work of MU please visit the website: mothersunion.org.

Wednesday 18th February – 7pm St Firmin’s Church, Thurlby will be holding the Group Holy Communion with Ashing Service at 7pm.  All most welcome to attend.

Repair Café – Sunday 22nd  February – 2pm to 5pm St Firmin’s Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café in Thurlby Methodist Hall.  A meeting place to come and repair your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE.  So bring along something to repair or just come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of delicious cake.  For more information please ring Mary Trumble on 07432 156298.

NESS GROUP CHOIR  The Ness Group Choir would like to recruit some new members. If you enjoy singing  why not consider giving us a try. What’s the commitment? Weekly choir practice – Thursday evenings 7pm – 8.15pm plus singing at a monthly service – usually the 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month and occasional weddings.
