Holy Week and Easter Sunday

We have a rich pattern of services and events

coming up to Easter and beyond.

Please come along and support your local church.

The  winter is over its time to be out and about with others in your community!

Monday 14th April – 6pm Evening Service – St John’s, Baston

Shadow Puppet Workshop – Tuesday 15th April 10am – 11.30am

St John’s Church. Baston will be holding a Shadow Puppet Workshop in church.  Everyone is welcome to take part – the theme will be on Palm Sunday. If possible please bring a torch and a shoebox size cardboard box. Parents/Carers please stay with your child/children. Fun and chocolate! No charge.

Tuesday 15th April – 6pm Taizé Service – St Michael’s, Langtoft

Wednesday 16th April – Lent Course – The Vicarage, Thurlby

Thursday 17th April – 6pm – Maundy Thursday supper – St John’s Baston

We would like to share a supper together. Please come along to Baston Church with something to share, and we will eat together before going on to strip the altar.

Friday 18th April

10am – All Age Service

St John’s Church, Baston would like to invite you to make a shoebox-sized Easter garden based on the Easter story (see Luke’s Gospel, chapter 22, for a reminder) and bring it to church before the Good Friday service so it can be displayed in the church. Refreshments will follow the service.

2pm – Music & Reflection

St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding a Music and Reflection service in the church.

Easter Sunday

5.45am – Sunrise Service

We are celebrating Easter morning at sunrise this year. Come and watch the sunrise over the churchyard in Thurlby with a short service starting at 5.45 followed by breakfast in church.

10am – Easter Eucharist

Baston, Langtoft and Thurlby churches will be holding their Easter Holy Communion in the church.  All welcome to join us!
