Lunches in Church
Thursday 3rd & 10th April – 12 noon to 1.30pm St John’s Church, Baston will be holding their Lent Lunches. Soup & roll, pudding with custard, fruit, tea or coffee for just £6.50. All most welcome to come. Lunches will restart again in October.
Church Electoral Roll Renewal time! Each church’s Electoral Roll will be renewed this year. You will be receiving a letter if you are already on the roll. If you wish to be put on the roll, then forms will be in each church for you to complete.
Langtoft Open Church Saturday 5th, 12th & 19th April – 10.30am – 12.30pm St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be open again for tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and toast. Board games available. All welcome.
Monthly Prayer – Monday 7th April – 7.30pm – 9pm St Firmin’s Monthly Prayer meeting will take place in the home of Peter and Patsy Moore, 79 Northorpe. Do come along and join us or you can ring us with your prayer requests. Patsy and Peter on 01778 423505.
A Stitch in Time – Saturdays and Thursdays The stitching group will be taking a break throughout April. It will return in May.
Refresh Cafe – Sunday 13th April – 2pm – 4pm St Firmin’s Church, Thurlby will be holding their Refresh Café in church. Open tower – have a go at bellringing. Making Peace Doves for VE Day decoration. Forward notice May 11th Refresh Cafe – Craft Fair.
MOTHERS’ UNION Tuesday 15th April – 2.15pm The Mothers’ Union will be holding their monthly meeting at Almond Court. Speaker will be Len Causton who will be telling us about some of his experiences living in Spain and how Easter is celebrated there. New members are always welcome.
Saturday 26th April – 10am – 1pm St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their monthly Cake and Bacon Butty morning in the church. Come along and enjoy a lovely bacon butty, soup and/or cake, Tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Books, jigsaw, DVDs CD and Lucky Dip and Cake stall.
Repair Café – Sunday 27th April – 2pm to 5pm St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café in the Methodist Church Hall. A meeting place to come and repair your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE. So bring along something to repair or just come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of delicious cake. For more information please ring Mary Trumble on 01778 423500.
