Mothers’ Union From 25th November-10th December, the Mothers Union around the world will be involved in campaigning against gender-based violence and domestic abuse. Last year a group of us staged a demonstration in Lincoln – talking to people and giving out leaflets – we carried banners stating ‘IT’S NOT OK’. The response from the public was very positive and several men and women came forward to share their experiences. We continue to do what we can to support THE HAVEN REFUGE (formerly Boston Women’s Aid) and will be praying about these issues particularly during these Weeks of Activism.
There will be no monthly meeting as such in December, but we are proposing to hold a Christmas event for the residents of Almond Court on Tuesday 17th December. Details are still to be finalised and members will be kept informed. For more information about the Mothers’ Union please ring Patsy on 01778 423505.
