Home Group – Every Wednesday evening 7pm – 8.30pm

Every Wednesday evening a group of us meet at the vicarage, we talk…a lot and we do some study.  If you want deep serious theology, then this group is not for you! If you want fellowship, a place to ask daft questions amongst a lot of laughter then please come along on Wednesday nights at 7pm – it’s all over by 8.30! Langtoft Open Church Saturday 1st, 8th & 22nd – 10.30am – 12.30pm St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be open for tea, coffee, biscuits and chat.  Please do join us.

A Stitch in Time-Every Saturday 2pm-4pm/Thursday 7pm-9pm

The stitching group in St John’s Church, Baston continues to grow. It’s a time for those wanting to meet likeminded folks for a natter and stitch. Everyone is welcome from seasoned stitchers to those wanting to learn.

Baston Warm Welcome – Every Monday – 2pm – 4pm

St John’s Church, Baston will be open for their weekly ‘Warm Welcome’ afternoon.  They will be providing a friendly space where you can enjoy a drink and a warm welcome.  You may want to chat, read a book or even spend an hour before you do the school pick-up. 

Monthly Prayer – Monday 3rd June  – 7.30pm – 9pm

St Firmin’s Monthly Prayer meeting will take place in the home of Peter and Patsy Moore, 79 Northorpe.  Prayer requests to Patsy and Peter on 01778 423505 or come and join us!

Refresh Café – Sunday 9th June  – 2pm –  4pm

St Firmin’s Church, Thurlby will be holding their Refresh Café in church.  Come and enjoy tea, cake and chat!  Free to all.

Saturday 15th June – 10am – 1pm

St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their monthly Cake and Bacon Butty morning in the church.  Lucky dip table, homemade cakes, bacon butties, tea and coffee.  All welcome to attend.

MOTHERS’ UNION Tuesday 18th June – 2.15pm

The Mothers’ Union will be holding their monthly meeting at Almond Court Social Room, Northorpe, Thurlby.  Eileen Dilley who will be talking about her experiences as a National Trust Guide.  For more information about the Mothers’ Union please contact Patsy (01778 423505).   

Saturday 22nd June The Mothers’ Union Summer Council will take place at Horncastle Methodist Church.  For further information about these events or any other aspect of Mothers’ Union work please ring Patsy on 423505.

St John the Baptist – Feast Weekend

Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June

Baston celebrates its patron saint, John the Baptist over the weekend with flowers.  On Sunday afternoon 2.30pm to 4.30pm everyone is welcome to come and enjoy refreshments and crafts with a flower theme, looking forward to the Big Arts & Crafts Bash mid-July.

Saturday 29th June 2.30pm – 5pm – Midsummer afternoon tea  

St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be celebrating the 80th Anniversary ofD-Day Landings and Armed Forces Day.  Tickets £8 for adults and children over 12, £4 for children under 12 will be available from Debbie Howard (01778 349576) or Claire Naylor 01778 343717 and Langtoft Village shop.

Repair Café – Sunday 30th June – 2pm to 4.30pm

St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café.  Please note that the Repair Cafe now meets at Thurlby Methodist Hall.  A meeting place to come and repair your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE.  So bring along something to repair or just come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of delicious cake.  For more information please ring Mary Trumble on 01778 423500.

Baston’s Big Arts & Crafts Bash – Saturday 13th – Sunday 14th July

 Baston residents are invited to loan work for display at this exhibition in St John’s Church, Baston.   There will also be cake making and flower competitions to take part in. Contact bastonctf@gmail.com or phone 07471 198497 for competition entry forms and further information about how to submit art/craft work.

Paper copies of the entry form and information sheet will also be available at the back of church from 15th June

The exhibition will be open to visitors between 11am and 4pm both days, with refreshments available throughout and also a raffle each day.
