APCMs in the Ness Group
The Annual Parochial Church Meetings will be held
on the following dates:
Langtoft: 1pm in Church on the 15th May
Baston: 7.30pm in Church with wine and snacks on the 15th May
Monday’s in May – Warm Welcome – 2pm – 4pm
St John the Baptist Church, Baston will be open for their weekly ‘Warm Welcome’ afternoon. They will be providing a warm space where you can enjoy a hot drink and a warm welcome. You may want to chat, read a book or even spend an hour before you pick up a young person from school. Please check the days in May as there are Bank Holiday Monday’s to consider.
Monday 8th May – 7.30pm – Monthly Prayer Meeting
There will be a Monthly Prayer meeting at the home of Patsy and Peter Moore: 79 Northorpe, Thurlby. Please note the change of date as the first Monday in May is a Bank Holiday.
Sunday 14th May – 2pm – 4pm – Refresh Café
St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their Refresh Café in the church. Cuppa, cake, chat, relax, crafts to see, try, buy plus locally reared ported for sale. Free event – all welcome.
Mothers’ Union
Tuesday 16th May – 2.15pm
The Mothers’ Union will be holding their monthly meeting. Speaker: Mary-Ann Creedy ‘Caring For God’s Acre – the rewilding of Thurlby Churchyard’. Venue: if the weather is fine we will meet in the church; if it’s wet or cold we will meet in the Church Hall. We welcome anyone who would like to join us for what should be a very interesting afternoon. For more information about the work of Mothers’ Union please ring Patsy on 423505.
Saturday 20th May – 10am – 1pm – Cake & Bacon Butty
St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their monthly homemade cake and Bacon butty morning in church. Lucky Dip table. books , jigsaw, bric a brac. All welcome to attend.
Sunday 21st May – 3pm – Deanery Service
You are all invited to attend the Deanery Service which will be held in
St Mary’s Church, Cowbit.
Sunday 28th May – 2pm to 5pm
St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café in the Church Hall. A meeting place to come and repair all of your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE.
