Other Events in the Parishes

Weekly Home Group – Wednesdays in November – 7pm til 8.30pm

Starting  7pm til 8.30pm  at the Vicarage at 10 Church Street, Thurlby.  This will be a relaxed evening where we will explore some of the basics of our faith, the creeds, and holy communion for a start, no previous knowledge necessary, just come along, bring a Bible if you have one.

A Stitch in Time

Every Saturday 2pm – 4pm and every Thursday 7pm – 9pm.

New stitching group has arrived at St John’s Church, Baston. It’s a time for those wanting to meet likeminded folks for a natter and stitch. Everyone is welcome from seasoned stitchers to those wanting to learn.

Baston Warm Welcome – Mondays in November – 2pm – 4pm

St John the Baptist Church, Baston will be open for their weekly ‘Warm Welcome’ afternoon.  They will be providing a friendly space where you can enjoy a drink and a warm welcome.  You may want to chat, read a book or even spend an hour before you do the school pick-up. 

Langtoft Open Church – Every Saturday – 10.30am – 12.30pm

St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be open again for tea, coffee, biscuits and chat, please do join us.

MOTHERS’ UNION

Tuesday 21st November – 2.15pm

We will be holding our usual monthly meeting in the Church Hall, Thurlby.  It will be ‘A time to Remember.  

Saturday 25th November

We will be walking through Lincoln to raise awareness of the ’16 days of activism against gender-based violence and domestic abuse’.  There will be many other groups around the country doing the same thing in their own towns and cities.

Saturday 18th November – 10am – 1pm

St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be having their monthly homemade cake and bacon butty morning.  Lucky dip and bits and bobs.  All welcome.

Christmas Wreath Making Workshop

Saturday 25th November at 10am and 1pm

St John’s, Baston will be holding their Christmas Wreath Making Workshop in the church.  £30 per wreath includes all materials. Book your place by sending a £5 deposit in an envelope marked Christmas Wreath Making Workshop / Maryon via the offerings box on the South wall of St John’s church. Please include your name and contact details, also say which workshop you are booking for. Balance on the day. Cheques payable to “St John the Baptist Church, Baston”. Repair Café – Sunday 26th November – 2pm to 5pm

St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café in the Church Hall.  A meeting place to come and repair your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE.  So bring along something to repair or just come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of delicious cake.  For more information please ring Mary Trumble on 01778 423500.
