Ness Group All Souls Service Sunday 3rd November – 6.30pm This year’s All Souls Service will take place in St John the Baptist Church, Baston. If you would like to come and light a candle for your loved ones you would be most welcome.
Ness Group Remembrance Services This year we will be holding all of our Remembrance Services at 10.50am on Sunday 10th November in each of our churches. It would be lovely to see you there.

Langtoft Open Church Saturday 2nd, 9th and 23rd November from 10.30am – 12.30pm St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be open for coffee, tea, biscuits and toast. Please note that there will not be coffee on 30th due to a wedding.
Langtoft Churchyard tidy up Saturday 2nd November – 10am – 12noon Weather permitting St Michael’s, Langtoft will be having a Churchyard tidy up – all welcome. They will be clearing ivy from gravestones and creating a flower bed near the Jubilee rose.
Baston Warm Welcome – Every Monday – 2pm – 4pm St John’s Church, Baston will be open for their weekly ‘Warm Welcome’ afternoon. They will be providing a friendly space where you can enjoy a drink and a warm welcome. You may want to chat, read a book or even spend an hour before you do the school pick-up.
Monday 4th November – 7.30pm-9pm St Firmin’s Monthly Prayer meeting will take place at Eden Cottage, 79 Northorpe. We welcome anyone who would like to join us or you can let us have your prayer requests by ringing Peter and Patsy (01778 423505).
A Stitch in Time – Every Thursday evening 7-9pm and Saturday afternoon 2-4pm except Saturday 23rd November The stitching group in St John’s Church, Baston will be meeting in church. Everyone is most welcome to come along.
Refresh Café Christmas Craft Fair Sunday 10th November – 2pm – 4pm St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their Refresh Café Christmas Craft Fair in church. Come along, it’s a great chance to pick up a unique Christmas Gift and of course tea and cake!
Langtoft Monthly Cake and Bacon Butty morning Saturday 16th November – 10am – 1pm St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their monthly cake and bacon butties morning in church. Cakes, bacon butties and homemade soup, hot drinks plus Lucky Dip table.
MOTHERS’ UNION Tuesday 19th November – 2.15pm The Mothers’ Union will be holding their monthly meeting at Almond Court Social Room, Northorpe. The Speaker will be Susan Macey who will be talking about ‘The Angel Project’ – an initiative that enables prisoners to send gifts to their children at Christmas time. Repair Café – Sunday 24th November – 2pm to 4.30pm St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café at Thurlby Methodist Hall. A meeting place to come and repair your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE. Baston Christmas Wreath Making Saturday 30th November – 2 sessions – 10am and 2pm St John’s Church, Baston will be holding their very popular Christmas Wreath Making. There will be 2 sessions – 10am and 2pm. The cost is £30 per wreath which will include all materials, hot drink and mince pie and will be under the instruction of Jo. A £5 deposit will secure your place, so please book as soon as possible with the balance payable on the day or before if you wish. Payment and contact details in an envelope and put into the wall safe just inside the church door, or send a cheque payable to St John the Baptist Church, Baston with your contract details to Maryon Avery, 18 Maltby Drive, Baston, PE6 9QR or ask Maryon for BACS’s details if you wish to pay by bank transfer.
