WHAT’S ON IN THE NESS GROUP – OCTOBER 2025

A Stitch in Time – Every Thursday evening 7-9pmand Saturday afternoon 2-4pmThe stitching group in St John’s Church, Baston will be meeting in church except for 23rd, 25th and 30th October due to half-term.

Langtoft Open Church

Saturday 4th, 11th & 25th October – 10.30am – 12.30pm St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be open for tea, coffee, biscuits and toast.  Please do join us.  The Monthly bacon butty morning will be on 13th September and church will not be open on Saturday 20th September.

Saturday 18th October – 10.30am – 1pm – Autumn Craft Café St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their Autumn Craft Café in the church. Home made cake stall, Lucky dip stall  Cakes, bacon butties, sausage butties, homemade soup. If you  are a local crafter and would like to book a stall please contact Claire Naylor 01778343717.

MOTHERS’ UNION Tuesday 21st October – 2.15pm

The Mothers’ Union will meet again at Almond Court Social Room, Northorpe.  Members are invited to bring a picture/photo or item that reminds them of a particularly special time in their lives.  We welcome anyone who would like to join us for what promises to be an uplifting time of sharing happy memories.  For more information about Mothers’ Union and it’s work please ring Angela (01778 561718) or Patsy (01778 423505) or look on the website: mothersunion.org.

Repair Café – Sunday 26th October – 2pm to 4.30pm

St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café at Thurlby Methodist Hall.  A meeting place to come and repair your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE.  So bring along something to repair or just come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of delicious cake.  For more information please ring Mary Trumble on 07432 156298.

Helping our Ukraine Friends

All three churches in the Ness Group will be collecting items during October/early November for Helping Our Ukrainian Friends’ winter delivery.

As before, food, toys, games, musical instruments, medical supplies, warm clothes, batteries, torches, hygiene items are being requested.

We shall share dates/deadlines when we are notified by HOUF.

Advance Notice

Saturday 29th November – 10am & 1pm Christmas wreath-making workshops in Baston Church.

Session 1: 10am – 12 noon; Session 2: 1 – 3pm Maximum 12 participants per session.
