Sunday 11th May – 80th Anniversary of VE Day

This month on May 11th our services will mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day which falls on May 8th.

Although this was a day of celebration in Britain, it was a day of poignancy as there were still parts of the world at war. There were also many, many people who had no idea where their loved ones were and whether they had survived. We would like to honour this day and pray for peace in the world that does not seem to have learnt lessons from that time.
