WHATS ON IN APRIL

Bible Course – Every Wednesday evening 7pm – 8.30pm

We are continuing with our Bible Course. This is a lovely way to look afresh or to look for the first time at the Bible.  Please come along on a Wednesday evening 7pm til 8.30 at the Vicarage.

Langtoft Open Church – Every Saturday – 10.30am – 12.30pm

St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be open again for tea, coffee, biscuits and chat.  Please do join us.

A Stitch in Time-Every Saturday 2pm-4pm/Thursday 7pm-9pm

The stitching group in St John’s Church, Baston continues to grow. It’s a time for those wanting to meet likeminded folks for a natter and stitch. Everyone is welcome from seasoned stitchers to those wanting to learn.  Please note that this will not be happening on Saturday 13th April.

Baston Warm Welcome – Every Monday – 2pm – 4pm

St John’s Church, Baston will be open for their weekly ‘Warm Welcome’ afternoon.  They will be providing a friendly space where you can enjoy a drink and a warm welcome.  You may want to chat, read a book or even spend an hour before you do the school pick-up. 

Monthly Prayer – Monday 8th April – 7.30pm – 9pm

St Firmin’s Monthly Prayer meeting will take place in the home of Peter and Patsy Moore, 79 Northorpe.  Prayer requests to Patsy and Peter on 01778 423505 or go along and join them.

Refresh Café – Sunday 14th April  – 2pm –  4pm

St Firmin’s Church, Thurlby will be holding their Refresh Café.  Rag rugs and spinning and of course tea and cake!

Saturday 20th April – 10am – 1pm

St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their monthly Cake and Bacon Butty morning in the church.    Come along and enjoy a lovely bacon butty, soup and/or cake.  They will also have their lucky dip table and bits and bobs table.  All welcome to attend.

MOTHERS’ UNION

Monday 8th April – Lady Day Banner Service – 3pm

The Mothers’ Union will be holding their Lady Day Banner Service in St Firmin Church, Thurlby, when we shall be celebrating 100 years of the Mothers’ Union and 110 years in Bourne.  Refreshments will be served in the church after the service.  Everyone is welcome—do come and join with us!

Tuesday 16th April – 2.15pm

The Mothers’ Union will be holding their monthly meeting in their new venue—Almond Court Social Room, Northorpe, Thurlby.  The speaker will be Augy Harrison and will be giving an illustrated talk about Penfield Nature Reserve.  Anyone is welcome to join us for our meetings.  For more information call Patsy (01778 423505).   

Repair Café – Sunday 28th April – 2pm to 5pm

St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café.  Please note that the Repair Cafe will from April will meet at the Methodist Chapel.  A meeting place to come and repair your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE.  So bring along something to repair or just come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of delicious cake.  For more information please ring Mary Trumble on 01778 423500.
