The Ness Group Christingle Services
This year the Christingle Service will be held in each church on Sunday 1st December. We do hope that you will be able to join us

TRAVELLING NATIVITY
St Michael’s Church, Langtoft’ s travelling nativity will be making its way round Langtoft and surroundings during December. The set is made of large, knitted figures which come in their own stable and with two Christmas story books to read out loud. Prayer Meeting – Monday 2nd December – 7.30pm
St Firmin’s monthly Prayer Meeting will be held at Peter and Patsy Moore’s home – 79 Northorpe, Thurlby – everyone is welcome and prayer requests please give to Patsy or Peter Moore – ring 01778 423505.
Monthly Lunches – Thursday 5th December – 12noon -1.30pm
St John the Baptist, Baston will be holding their very popular Monthly Lunch. Soup, roll and butter, hot pudding with custard, tea or coffee still only £5 adult and £1.50 pre school children who have a choice of beans or pasta shapes.
Christmas Tree Festivals in the Ness Group
Saturday 7th December (10am – 3.30pm) and
Sunday 8th December (10.45am – 3.30pm)
St John’s Church, Baston will be holding a CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION OF CREATION. As well as Christmas trees and wreaths items will be on display which celebrate creation, creativity and ways of caring for our environment. Stalls, children’s activities, face painting and games. Refreshments on sale including light lunches. Donations of cakes, preserves and bottles very welcome please. No charge for admission. Donations invited to support church running costs and local foodbanks. Sunday afternoon concludes with informal carol singing. Jo-Anne Richardson will run wreath-making workshops in church on Thursday 5th 2 till 4pm and Friday 6th 12 noon to 2 pm, £25 to include all materials and refreshments. Email Jo to sign up for the workshop at

St Firmin Church will be holding a Festival of Angels. Come and enjoy “everything angels” at our Festival of Angels. Angels of all shapes and sizes in arts and crafts. Children’s crafts to do, raffle, lucky dips. Festive fare and drinks available all day including delicious home made soups. Please bring any Angels for display to the church Thursday 12th between 2pm and 8pm.
Saturday 14th December – 11am – 3pm
St Michael and All Angels Church will be holding their Christmas Tree Festival. A wide variety of stalls including cakes, gifts, tombola, toys, jewellery and a raffle. Santa’s grotto, barbecue, refreshments and light lunches inside the church. Come and see the church illuminated with dozens of beautiful trees while you enjoy browsing the stalls and chatting to friends. The Ness Group Carols by Candlelight Services
This year the Carols by Candlelight Service will be held in each church on the following dates. We do hope that you will be able to join us

‘Music and Mince Pies’ with The Ness Group Choir in St Firmin Church, Thurlby. Tickets £6 per person, Raffle Proceeds to Choir fund.
Film Club – Monday 23rd December
The Ness Group Film Club meets in the Church Hall in Thurlby. The film is “Miracle on 34th Street (1947 version)”. Donation of £2.50. Please do come along and have a nice relaxing time watching the film and then chatting to friends afterwards while you have afternoon tea.
The Ness Group Living Crib Services
This year the Living Crib Service will be held in each church on
Tuesday 24th December. We do hope that you will be able to join us,
come dressed as your favourite character from the Nativity story.

Sunday 29th December – 2pm to 5pm
St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café in the Church Hall. A meeting place to come and repair all of your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE.
