Prayer

Monday 2nd July at 7.30pm

Prayer Meeting at Peter and Patsy Moore’s home – 79 Northorpe, Thurlby, for the work of St. Firmin’s.  Prayer requests to Patsy & Peter Moore on 423505.  Everyone welcome.

 

Saturday Sale – 7th July – 10am to 12 noon

St. Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their Saturday Sale in church.  Freshly made bacon butties to have with tea or coffee.  Cake stall, Bring and Buy Stall, CD’s and DVD’s for sale and our popular ‘Pot Luck’ table.

 

The church is open each Saturday, between 10am and 12noon, and coffee and tea are available.

 

Open Saturday – Thurlby – 10.30am to 12 noon

St. Firmin’s Church, Thurlby will be open every Saturday for you to come and sit quietly and enjoy the peace and quiet of the church, light a candle in memory of a loved one, place flowers in the Lady Chapel or just have a chat with the welcomer.  Refreshments available.

 

Summer Safari Supper – Saturday 7th July

St Firmin Church, Thurlby are holding their Summer Safari Supper – Proceeds to St Firmin’s Church.  Tickets £10 per person.  For more information please contact Patsy on 01778 423505.

 

Vicarage Tea – Thursday 12th July – 2pm to 4pm

Tea in the Vicarage garden…hopefully!  Why not pop in and have a nice cuppa tea and slice of cake and a chat.

 

Messy Church – Sunday 15th July – 4pm to 6pm

St Firmin Church, and the Methodist Church in Thurlby are continuing their Messy Church in the Methodist Church.  Com along and find a fund child friendly way of doing church, stories, music, food and fun.  The theme this month will be ‘Feeding the Five Thousand’ with a picnic (weather permitting).  For more details contact Davina pm 01778 420747.

 

Mothers’ Union

Wednesday 4th July – 2pm

The Mothers’ Union will be holding a Banner Service at Grimsby Minster.  We welcome anyone who would like to attend this special service.

 

Tuesday 17th July – 2.15pm

The Mothers’ Union monthly meeting will take place in St Firmin Church Hall, Thurlby.  The Speaker will be from the Lincolnshire Charity ‘Baby’s Basket’ – supporting new mothers in challenging circumstances.  Guests are very welcome to any of our meetings.

 

Film Club – Monday 25th July – 2pm

The Ness Group Film Club meets in the Church Hall in Thurlby.  The film will be “Truly, Madly, Deeply”. Please do come along and have a nice relaxing time watching the film and then chatting to friends afterwards while you have afternoon tea.  Donation of £2.50 for the refreshments.
