Mondays in June – Warm Welcome – 2pm – 4pm
St John the Baptist Church, Baston will be open for their weekly ‘Warm Welcome’ afternoon. They will be providing a warm space where you can enjoy a hot drink and a warm welcome. You may want to chat, read a book or even spend an hour before you pick up a young person from school.
Monday 5th June – 7.30pm – 9pm – Monthly Prayer Meeting
There will be a Monthly Prayer meeting at the home of Patsy and Peter Moore: 79 Northorpe, Thurlby. We welcome anyone who would like to join us.
Sunday 11th June – 2pm – 4pm – Refresh Café
St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their Refresh Café in the church. Cuppa, cake, chat, relax, crafts to see, try, buy, plus locally reared pork for sale. Free event – all welcome.
Saturday 17th June – 10am – 1pm – Cake & Bacon Butty
St Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their monthly homemade cake and bacon butty morning in church. Lucky Dip table. books , jigsaw, bric a brac. All welcome to attend.
Mothers’ Union
Tuesday 20th June – 2.15pm
The Mothers’ Union will be holding their monthly meeting at Eden Cottage, 79 Northorpe to make plans for the next few months and to enjoy Afternoon Tea together. For more information on Mothers’ Union and what we do please ring Patsy on 01778 423505.
Sunday 25th June – 2pm to 5pm
St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café in the Church Hall. A meeting place to come and repair all of your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE. St John the Baptist Church, Baston
Feast Weekend – Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th June
As is our custom, Baston will be celebrating St John the Baptist’s Feast Day with flowers over the weekend of 24/25 June. With one of our stalwarts moving away, the flower team could do with reinforcements, either as a one-off or on a regular basis. There will be a Crafternoon in the church on Saturday 24 June
from 2pm – 4 pm for adults and children. The theme will be: ‘space’.
Come along with your answers to the Treasure Hunt, stay, enjoy some craft and have a cuppa and a cake.

We are holding a Treasure Hunt on Saturday 24th June with the theme being Space and the Planets. Entry will be £1 a sheet and it can be enjoyed by all ages with prizes for the winners at the end of the day.
Searching can start from Baston Church at any time from 10.00am with answers taken back to the Church from 2.00pm to 4.30pm.
Tea/Coffee and Cake will be available in Church from 2.00pm to 4.00pm where you can also view the Feast Flower Arrangements and other craft items or join in with the Craft Afternoon. For further details please watch out for posters and on Facebook nearer the time.
The weekend will finish with Songs of Praise at 6pm in the church.
Everyone will be made welcome.
