Prayer Meeting – Monday 2nd March – 7.30pm

Lent

Lent Group – Every Wednesday 7pm to 9pm

11th, 18th, 25th March and 1st April

Come and join our Lent group, this will be held  in St John’s Church, Baston.  We will gather for the welcome and set the theme of the evening, then share food and gather round tables to eat and chat on the discussion points.  The groups are free and you don’t need to book, but please bring something to help make our bring and share supper. 

Lunches

Wednesday 4th March – 12 noon to 2pm

St Michael and All Angels Church, Langtoft will be starting their Soup Lunches every Wednesday throughout Lent until 1st April.  Come along to the church for a delicious bowl of homemade soup followed by cheese and biscuits and tea or coffee. The suggested donation is £4.00 and all money raised will be divided between Christian Aid and St Michael’s Church.

Thursday 5th March – 12 noon to 1.30pm

St John the Baptist Church, Baston will be holding their Weekly Lent Lunches in church every Thursday throughout Lent until 2nd April.  Soup & roll, hot pudding with custard, fruit, tea or coffee for just £5, under school age children £1.50 (either pasta shapes or beans, pudding).

Saturday Sale – Saturday 7th March – 10am to 12 noon

St. Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding their Saturday Sale in church.  Freshly made bacon butties to have with tea or coffee.  Cakes and produce, bric-a-brac, and our popular ‘Pot Luck’ table.  All money raised goes towards the upkeep of our church.  We are always pleased to receive items to sell including produce for the cake stall, wrapping paper and gift and jewellery boxes. 

The church is open each Saturday during the month, between 10am and 12 noon and coffee and tea are available.

Saturday 7th March – 7pm

Alaska and the Aleutian Islands followed by White Christmas White Christmas

Diane will present a selection of photos of Alaska (bears, whales, bald eagle) and Antarctica (Penguins, albatross, icebergs, glaciers).

Tickets – £7.50 to include a glass of wine or orange juice and with nibbles. Tickets from Diane Savage – 01778 560847 or Janet Low – 01778 560848.

Monday 9th March from 2pm to 4pm

Drinks, Dominoes and more…..

If you are fed up with the cold and short winter days, then we are offering warmth, fun and good company. Come and join Reverend Carolyn Bailey and the team in St John the Baptist Church, Baston for drinks and games.  Bring your own board games or join in with the board games we have, or just come for a drink and a natter.  All will be most warmly welcomed.

Mothers’ Union

Friday 6th March – 2.30pm

The Mothers’ Union will be holding their Women’s World Day of Prayer at Bourne United Reformed Church.

Tuesday 17th March – 2.15pm

The Mothers’ Union will be holding their meeting in the Church Hall, Thurlby.  Subject this month to be confirmed.  Visitors are always welcome to join us for any of our meetings.  Please ring Patsy on 01778 423505 if you would like to know more.

Wednesday 25th March – 2.30pm

The Mothers’ Union will be holding their Lady Day Service at St Andrew’s Church, West Deeping. 

Tuesday 17th March – 10am – 12 noon

St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding a Coffee Morning in the Church Hall.  Come along for some good company and refreshments, take the opportunity to catch up with friends or make new ones.

Monday 23rd March – 2pm

The Ness Group Film Club meets in the Church Hall in Thurlby.  The film is “The Sound of Music”.  Donation of £2.50.  Please do come along and have a nice relaxing time watching the film and then chatting to friends afterwards while you have afternoon tea.

Sunday 29th March – 2pm to 5pm

St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding their very popular Repair Café in the Church Hall.  A meeting place to come and repair all of your broken items, seek professional advice and get inspiration and it is completely FREE.  So bring along something to repair or just come and enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of delicious cake.  For more information please ring Mary Trumble on 01778 423500.
