Lunches – Thursday 1st November – 12 noon
St John the Baptist Church, Baston will be starting their Monthly Lunches in church. Soup & roll, hot pudding with custard, fruit, tea or coffee for just £5, under school age children £1.50 (either pasta shapes or beans, pudding.
Saturday Sale – Saturday 3rd November – 10am to 12noon
St. Michael’s Church, Langtoft will be holding a Saturday, freshly made bacon butties to have with tea or coffee. Cake Stall, Bric-a-Brac, CD’s and DVD’s and our popular ‘Pot-Luck’ table.
The church is open each Saturday during the month, between 10am and 12 noon, and coffee and tea are available.
Travelling Nativity Our knitted nativity figures and ‘stable’ will be travelling around the villages once again during December, finishing up at the church on Christmas Eve. The figures are approx. 12 inches tall and very child friendly. The set comes with two books so the story can be read aloud and acted out at the same time. Mothers Union

The Mothers’ Union will be holding their Winter Council at Horncastle.
Thursday 15th November
The Wave of Prayer. Every year the Mothers’ Union takes part in the Wave of Prayer which continuously sweeps around the world – over 4 million members are involved in 83 countries. In St Firmin Church, Thurlby we shall be holding a one hour vigil, with prayers and lighting of candles to highlight the plight of women who are being repressed, abused, enslaved and mutilated, not only overseas but here in our own country. We welcome anyone who feels strongly about these issues to join us.

Coffee Morning – Saturday 17th November – 10am to 12noon
St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding a Coffee Morning in the home of Anne Hedger, 7 St Firmin’s Way, Thurlby. Bring and Buy, Raffle etc. Everyone Welcome. Proceeds to St Firmin Church, Thurlby.
Afternoon Tea at the Vicarage

Revd Carolyn Bailey will be having an open afternoon at the Vicarage. A chance to pop along have tea, cake and a chat. All will be most warmly welcomed.
Advent Bazaar – Saturday 24th November – 10am – 12noon
St Firmin Church, Thurlby will be holding an Advent Bazaar in the Church Hall, Thurlby. Gifts, cakes, tombola, raffle etc. Everyone welcome. Proceeds to St Firmin Church, Thurlby.
Monday 26th November – 2pm
The Ness Group Film Club meets in the Church Hall in Thurlby. The film is “Miss Potter”. Donation of £2.50. Please do come along and have a nice relaxing time watching the film and then chatting to friends afterwards while you have afternoon tea.
