Coffee Morning at the home of Anne Hedger, 7 St Firmin’s Way, Thurlby. Proceeds will go to “Care for Life”

Monday 6th November

07.30 pm  Prayer Meeting at the home Peter and Patsy Moore – 79 Northorpe.  Everyone welcome.

Monday 13th November -10.00am – 3pm

The Mothers’ Union will be holding a Quiet Day Retreat at Bishop Grosseteste University Chapel. The leader will be Reverend Richard Rice-Oxley. This will be based on the poems of Geoffrey Anketell Studdert Kennedy (Woodbine Willy) We welcome anyone who would like to join us.

Monday 20th November 2pm-4pm

Reverend Carolyn Bailey will be holding another Open Afternoon at the Vicarage, Church Street,  Thurlby for anyone to come along and have a cup of tea and cake and a lovely chat.  Everyone is welcome.

Tuesday 21st November 2.30pm

The Mothers’ Union will be holding a meeting in St Firmin’s Church Hall. They would like to invite everyone to hear the popular speaker Jill Collinge talk about “Christmas Traditions” followed by afternoon tea. No charge for this event.

Saturday 25th November – 11am

Members of the Mothers’ Union will be walking from Lincoln Cathedral to St Benedict’s Mothers’ Union Centre in support of the movement “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence”.  We invite anyone who feels strongly about this issue, but not necessarily a Mothers’ Union member, to consider joining us as we take a stand against all forms of abuse. Meet outside Lincoln Cathedral 11 am. A short service will take place at St Benedict’s at the end of the walk. For further details about this or any of our events contact Patsy Moore on 01778 423505

Monday 27th November– 2pm

The Ness Group Film Club meets in the church Hall in Thurlby. The film is “Funny face”. Donation of £2.50. Please do come along and have a nice relaxing time watching the film and then chatting to friends afterwards while you have afternoon tea.
